About the Webinar

Once entirely off-limits for discussion in the workplace, topics like race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and mental health are now the subjects of standard workforce training in many organizations. What are the remaining taboo topics in the workplace? What are the advantages and disadvantages of speaking so candidly? And what about other forms of “taboo talk,” like gossip and interpersonal conflict? Does our newfound openness encourage or inhibit relationship building? How does this affect the way we compete with each other? How does new emotional intimacy in the workplace affect our notions of status?
